SHORT STORY
From a young age, Pankaj Jain, known later as the "Jal
Yogi," was drawn to the water. While other children played on the shore,
Pankaj would sit by the rivers, mesmerized by its gentle currents. His
fascination with water soon transformed into an unusual practice—Jal Yoga, an
ancient discipline focused on meditation and movement in water. Pankaj felt a
unique connection with the water's calming energy, which helped him achieve a
deep meditative state.
However, his mother disapproved of his obsession with Jal
Yoga. She often worried about his safety and believed traditional forms of yoga
on land were more practical. "Why must you always go to the river, Pankaj?
Can't you practice here at home like everyone else?" she would ask,
shaking her head. Despite her concerns, Pankaj remained committed. He believed
that the water offered something no land-based yoga could—a fluidity of
movement and a deeper sense of tranquility.
As Pankaj grew older, his dedication paid off. He mastered
Jal Yoga and began teaching it, earning the title of "Jal Yogi." His
teachings attracted students from across the globe, eager to experience the
harmony between body and water. He also pioneered techniques that helped people
recover from physical and emotional traumas, all through the healing power of
water.
Pankaj's achievements in spreading Jal Yoga were monumental.
He established schools dedicated to the practice and even wrote a bestselling
book on the subject. Though his journey was not always easy, he proved that
following one's passion, even against opposition, could lead to greatness.
